In 1947, Charles\u2019s wife, Colleen, an American citizen who had spent the war at the estate, created the company \u00abDomaine Vinicole de Chaintres\u00bb and took over the management. She replanted the Cabernet Franc grape for a production of ros\u00e9 for the Champagne  of the large houses of Saumur such as Bouvet-Ladubay and Ackermann and was intended for export to the US.<\/p><p>In 1964, his son, Gael B. de Tigny, coming back from the US for his studies with his wife Carol Johnson, take in charge the Domain. Chief Executor, she expands the sales to the US, Germany, UK, Canada, Denmark, Switzerland, Belgium, with a range of more diversified wines coming from the AOC appellations Saumur Champigny, Saumur Ros\u00e9, Saumur Blanc and Cr\u00e9mant de Loire.
